American Idol: Guys, Week 2

posted Wednesday, 1 March 2006

Let me tell you, tonight, the guys surely outperformed the girls.

Chance of Going Home: Jose Sway Penala (didn't do that Stevie Wonder song any justice), Will Makar (he totally wasn't 'in touch' with the audience... it was like he was just singing the song), Bucky Covington (I'm sure he's the nicest guy around, but Simon was right when he said that Bucky was like the back-up performer to the 'star' of AI), and David Radford (sure, he makes a nice 'crooner' but I need to hear him do something else... and he also didn't wow me with his song selection).

If I had to call it?  Sway and Bucky are going home.

Kicked Ass Tonight: Elliott Yamin (the boy can sing), Gedeon McKenney (get past the smile, and he is very talented), and (OhMyGawd) Chris Daughtry (holy shit did he bring it!  He was the only one who totally gave himself over to the song and you knew he felt it.)

Still Love: Ace Young (even though he has the 'star' looks, he still seems somewhat down-to-earth), Kevin Covais (he's just so darn cute and can sing a bit, too), and Taylor Hicks (he's just neat).

That is all.  Perhaps there will be a posting of Are You More... ? sometime soon.... when I get around to it.
