American Idol: Guys, Week 3

posted Wednesday, 8 March 2006

Well, I think it was pretty obvious who should be going home tomorrow night, but I'll recap.

Gedeon McKinney -- dude needs to tone something down.  There's. Something. About. The. Way. He. Talks.  It's really starting to grate on my nerves.  I can get past the smile and straight hairline, but...  Anyway, I think he stays another week.

Chris Daughtry -- this guy needs to cut a CD NOW.  Love it -- voice, stage presence, etc.  My second-favorite performance of the night.  He stays.

Kevin Covais -- as cute as he is, I think he might be leaving this week.  I wasn't bowled over by his song, even though he sang it well.  LEAVING on Thursday.

Bucky Covington -- I've said it before, this guy is probably the nicest guy around.  He didn't do as badly tonight as I kind of wanted him to do.  I think he stays another week.

Will Makar -- his performance was totally lackluster and I nearly TiVo-ed through (fast-forwarded through) his performance.  I think he will be LEAVING on Thursday.

Taylor Hicks -- this guy just makes me SMILE.  I totally dug his performance because it was fun and enthusiastic.  My favorite performance of the night.  He definitely stays.

Elliott Yamin -- dude has 90% hearing loss in his right ear and he can STILL sing that well?!?  Damn.  Seemed like a "safe" song to me for him, but it was still good.  He stays.

Ace Young -- I was impressed with his falsetto... and I didn't think he would do a Michael Jackson song that well.  Aside from his good looks, he stays.

Nutshell:  Kevin Covais and Will Makar are going home on Thursday.
