Deja Vu?

posted Saturday, 28 May 2005

It seems like I had to do everything twice today.  Well, maybe not everything, but at least two things.

Mom and I went out this afternoon and made the rounds: Avenue, Sears, Kohl's.  At Sears, I found a nice skort (skirt on the outside, shorts on the inside).  OK, great.  At Kohl's, I got another bra and I got a $5 patriotic t-shirt in XL.  Everything was on sale, so all is good, right?

Sure.  When we got home, I tried everything on again, as I normally do.  Got the skort on and discovered that the Sears clerk neglected to take the theft-deterrent dye tag off...  GRRRRR.  There was nothing I could do except for take the skort back to have them remove the tag.  Tried on the patriotic tee.  Too damn big... dress-like is a good term.  Looked at the bra, discovered it is the wrong style (but right size)... bought the style I wore a few months back.  Shit.

I figured that I should just go back out this evening and square everything away so I wouldn't have to work it in some other day/time.  Headed back to Sears to get the tag removed.  Clerk didn't even look at the receipt... shit, I coulda just grabbed that offa the rack and tried that move.  Hmmm...  Oh, anyway, I then headed back to Kohl's to exchange the tee for a size L and the bra for the right style.  Score on both accounts.

I just had to do it all twice.

But hey, at least there were good songs on the radio all day.
