The Latest Countdown: There are exactly 13 days with students, plus one teacher work day. That makes 14. Halle-fucking-lujah!
The Latest New Toy: This . My new Sony Ericsson W580i cell phone. In Metro Pink. Jon got Boulevard Black. Swanky, I know. These have a Walkman Media Player (FM radio, mp3, etc), a 2.0 MP camera, cool-assed light effects, fitness tools, like a pedometer, a stopwatch, a timer... I'm stuck on the FM radio.... I cannot believe that my cell phone has an FM radio in it and it's awesome! I've found my background theme -- Hello Kitty in pink to match the phone -- and I'm working on finding some ringtones. The ones that come with the phone aren't all that great... I remember when cell phones came with a whole bunch of different ringtones. Nowadays, they come with somewhere around 3 or so because they know that you're just going to go and download your own, unless you're not very technologically advanced... but then again, you probably wouldn't have this phone. Anyway, I *heart* this phone.
The Latest Things to Write on a Student's T-Shirt: Things like your signature and "You suck," or your signature and "Kick me." Especially if you're in 5th grade. The funny-as-hell part? The kids who wrote those things when signing their classmates' D.A.R.E. shirts? They were too stupid to realize they'd get caught... even though they signed their names and then wrote the statements. Good times, I tell you. We can try to teach them, but we can't teach common-fucking-sense.
The Latest Garden Center Purchase: tomato plants (cherry and roma), bell pepper plants (yellow, orange, red, and green), cucumber plants (burpless and some other variety), more Gerbera daisies, another caladium, two bags of Sweet Peet , and a double-hooked shepherd's hook for hanging plants... all from Gale's Garden Center. Oh, and the two hanging baskets I bought from Home Depot -- with a Home Depot Garden Club buy one planter get one free coupon.
The Latest Happiness in the Mail: I finally got my replacement PartyLite Hollywood Glamour Aroma Melts Warmer in the mail today -- the top glass dish that holds the wax that warms and then releases its scent broke about two weeks ago. I lit the tealight in the bottom dish, and about 10 seconds later, I heard the glass in the top dish cracking... I extinguished the tealight and looked at the top glass, and sure enough, it was broken and unusable. I was pissed. I emailed my PartyLite consultant, and she took care of it. A FREE replacement arrived at my door today. PartyLite stands behind its products!
That's it for this week, folks!
